First Alpine Soil Partners joined at the Meeting in Grenoble!

Highlights of the Grenoble meeting were:

NEW INSIGHTS
Realise how soils are linked to the protection from natural hazards
IRSTEA’s focus in the Links4Soils project is on natural hazards. Researchers of the institution showed the mechanisms of erosion, how simulations can model slope stability, current projects and research results.

HANDS ON SOILS
Excursion to a RENECOFOR area: a long-term and large scale monitoring project of the National Forest Office in France on climate change effects and the performance of forests in relation to ecosystem services.

FIRST ALPINE SOIL PARTNERS
The official joining of the first members to the Alpine Soil Partnership after a presentation of the developed contents and framework based on the Innsbruck meeting in November 2017.
